Who we are

Kyle Prothe

A man with a beard and blue eyes wearing a black beanie and red Patagonia jacket, holding a professional video camera on his shoulder, smiling at the camera against a dark background.

Kyle’s passion for filmmaking sparked in high school, where he and his friends created a series of short zombie films. That early love for storytelling set him on a path to pursue a degree in Communications and Film/TV Production at Carroll College in Montana.

Out of College, He entered the fast-paced world of photojournalism at KHQ 6 News - capturing everything from breaking news to in-depth features, always with a keen eye for compelling visuals.

Kyle’s love for adventure and storytelling eventually led him to some of the most challenging and breathtaking locations on Earth. As a key contributor to major productions including the nationally recognized documentary team of the legendary Iditarod race, he has mastered the art of immersive storytelling—whether braving -20°F in the Alaskan wilderness or filming under the blistering August sun.

Ian Loe

A smiling man with a beard wearing a black baseball cap and gray t-shirt, carrying a backpack, outdoors in a natural setting

Ian lives by a simple yet powerful philosophy: “Surround yourself with people who know more than you do.” And judging by his journey, it’s working out pretty well.

What began as an interest in audio production quickly evolved into a passion for visual storytelling. Ian graduated from Gonzaga University with dual degrees in Music Composition and Broadcast Television, merging artistry with technical expertise. As an editor and videographer at KREM 2 News, he pushed creative boundaries, crafting dynamic and engaging segments that stood out.

In 2018, Ian joined North by Northwest Productions as a producer and editor, becoming a driving force behind the Emmy Award-winning TV show Washington Grown. The show’s diverse demands taught him how to adapt, innovate, and bring stories to life in any setting.

Whatever the vision, Ian makes it happen—beautifully, seamlessly, and with a storyteller’s touch.
